Terminal Velocity
The sound of battle was everywhere, gunfire from the OZ troops in front of him and explosions of enemy mobile suits behind him. He swung his glowing, acid-green scythe and cut a Leo in half, sending the parts into another suit, the crackle of electricity and heat causing them both to catch fire and explode. Turning swiftly, he punched in the yellow sensor of another suit with the butt of the scythe before swinging it around and cutting off the arm that was holding the beam sword. That one, too, began to spark, and all it took was a small barrage of bullets from his vulcans before the suit succumbed in a burst of flame.
Twenty left. He could do this.
Taking in the positions of the enemy suits, he gave a loud yell and moved his suit swiftly toward them. He would go for the ones on the left first, sending them into the others as he fought, the destruction of one or two suits causing a chain reaction and leading to the obliteration of the others. The last few suits would be hemmed in against the side of that building, and it would only be a matter of time until they were reduced to pieces of smoldering, melted, twisted metal. Deathscythe sped up in time, just as he knew he would, and they dashed into the opposing line of attack in one fluid motion, picking up speed as his scythe sang in the smoky air.
He was slicing through them like butter, he was he was going as fast as he could, he was in control of their fates, he couldn't possibly get any faster, he was creating destruction right and left, he was freefalling through waves of fire and metal and blood, he had their lives in the palm of his hand and their necks pressed up against his scythe, he was Shinigami, he was –
Sweating, panting, shaking as he pulled his fingers away from the controls so slowly it was agony, it took him a few seconds to realize that everyone else was already dead.

What Is and What Should Never Be
"Trowa's alive," Duo said.
And that was all Quatre really needed to know. He didn't really pay much attention to what Duo said about Trowa's strange behavior, just that Trowa was alive and Trowa was okay and Quatre was going to go and see him. That Trowa was working in a circus was strange, to be sure, but Quatre was sure that there was an explanation for that. If he just apologized to Trowa for what happened with ZERO, Trowa would listen; while Quatre didn't expect to be forgiven, he was sure he'd be able to convince Trowa to fight again, and then they could finally work together to end this awful war.
But Trowa didn't remember him. That was… that didn't matter; there were still things they needed to do. If Trowa just spent some time around the people he knew before, he would surely start to remember things soon. And Quatre needed him to... no, that wasn't the right way to think about this, everyone needed Trowa to help fight so that no more people would be killed.
Even if Trowa didn't remember and even if Catherine was preventing Trowa from talking to him, Quatre wasn't going to give up. Even as a battle broke out in space with the colony caught in the middle, Quatre was still going to warn Trowa, was still going to try and convince Trowa to fight for the peace everyone so desperately wanted. Even as Trowa still stayed behind and Quatre could do nothing but fight, he still held out hope that Trowa would listen.
And that shuttle flying towards his Gundam was really all Quatre needed for things to start being alright again.
